COLLABORATING WITH DOCTORSHARE, PIS PRESENTS FLOATING HOSPITAL SERVICES FOR PAPUA
PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) signed a commitment to support the Dokter Peduli Foundation (doctorSHARE) to provide assistance through a floating hospital medical services in West Papua.
This collaboration is part of the "BerSEAnergi untuk Laut" program by PIS, a corporate social and environmental responsibility initiative aimed at improving the welfare of coastal communities and supporting marine conservation.
The assistance agreement was signed by the CEO of PIS, Yoki Firnandi, and the Managing Director of doctorSHARE, Tutuk Utomo Nuradhy. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, as an Advisor to doctorSHARE.
PIS' support involves operational support for the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital Service (RSA), owned by doctorSHARE in Sorong, West Papua, starting this December. This service, equivalent to a Type C land-based hospital, includes general medical care, specialized clinics, obstetrics, and pharmacy services, as well as other supporting facilities such as medical supplies, ambulances, and laboratories.
For information, doctorSHARE is a non-profit foundation focused on medical services. Established in 2008 by Dr. Lie Agustinus Dharmawan, it pioneered the first floating hospital in Indonesia.
