Dynamic drives for dynamic economies
Chancellor Merkel and PM Modi visit NORD stand at Hannover Messe 2015

The two leaders were introduced to a special exhibit of economical drive units for servo applications: a dynamic racing car simulator featuring a Stewart platform actuated by six inverter-controlled drive axes. Capable of responding to steering commands in real time, latest generation NORD frequency inverters enable extremely dynamic, precise control of asynchronous motors. The cost-efficient motor-inverter combinations are classified as IES2 power drive systems (PDS), the top efficiency class per the new European Ecodesign standard EN 50598-2.

The Indian Prime Minister was particularly inclined to visit NORD DRIVESYSTEMS. The international group’s Indian subsidiary, which has staff at the NORD Hannover Messe stand all week, has become quite familiar to the Prime Minister as a successful technology partner for many industries of the subcontinent’s dynamic economy. Mr Modi only recently officially inaugurated a steel plant equipped with hundreds of NORD drives throughout the entire factory.
