Siemens Mobility has been appointed by the Singapore Land Transport Authority to lead a consortium with Concord Corporation Pte Ltd for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the power supply system for Singapore's eighth and newest Mass Rapid Transit system, the Cross Island Line.

Digital Power Supply Systems for Cross Island Line

For this project, Siemens Mobility will design, supply, install, test and commission the power supply system for CRL which include:

  • 3 Intake stations [66kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, short GIS, intake transformers]
  • 22kV [Medium Voltage System, MVS]: 22kV GIS panels, service transformers
  • 1500V DC system: [DC panels, double converter TX, double converters]
Condition Monitoring System and Intelligent Fault Isolation System [“iFIS”] are also provided for enhanced performance management. The CRL power supply system is designed with proven modular features that facilitate future upgrades, allowing seamless integration and better interface connectivity between the power supply and signaling systems, for more sustainable and cost-effective operations overall.
