SCC8000A SHINES AT THE BIGGEST INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Once complete, the construction will improve freight efficiency, and safety and reduce travel time between the north and south of Bunbury.
In Australia, the Bunbury Outer Ring Road’s (BORR) construction, the biggest infrastructure project in Western Australia, is in full swing.
Tutt Bryant Heavy Lift & Shift (TBHLS), a major crane hire, heavy lifting, specialized transport and alternative lift solutions provider in Australia, is involved in a number of lifts on one of several bridges for the project with SANY SCC8000A.
The first lifts with the SCC8000A were for a bridge that was constructed in two sections. Seven longer-span beams each weighing in at 220 tonnes with all the riggings should be lifted between Pier One and Pier Two.
Equipped with a Cummins QSX15 engine and a max. lifting moment of 12,016 tonne-meters, the 800-tonne crawler crane’s safety measurements are also of note, featuring a completely automated load moment indicator, boom angle limit, and closed-circuit monitoring system.
Featuring a superpower boom made up of two booms side by side for a certain portion of the main boom, the crane has a short fixed wind jib which can be used to install wind turbines weighing over 100 tonnes at a hook height of 175m.
