Italferr recently participated in a digital event organized by Class Editori, in collaboration with Embassy of Italy in India.
India has become a market of reference and potential further development for Italian companies, positioning itself as a key export and investment destination. Providing a privileged point of view on a highlytopical subject for national and international economy, this was the purpose of the digital event organized by Class Editori, in collaboration with Embassy of Italy in India.
Institutions, economists, entrepreneurs and managers from both countries shared new trade dynamics and delving into business opportunities for Italian companies of all sizes.
Italferr has been represented by Roberto Borghi, Head of Foreign Market and No Captive Department, who illustrated the projects active in India and the corporate interests linked to development plans in sectors such as High Speed and Mass Transit.
The engineering company of the Infrastructure Hub of the FS Group has been present in the country since 2010 and is currently engaged in several strategic projects. From designing India's first cable-stayed railway bridge, the Anji Khad, which crosses the Anji River in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, to providing general engineering and consultancy services for the new Rishikesh-Karanprayang railway line, including the Himalayan Tunnel, in Uttarakhand, in the north of the country. Italferr also confirmed its presence in Mass Transit, with the awarding of contracts for the construction of two subway lines in Mumbai, line 2 and line 7 inaugurated in January 2023. The FS Group company offers Project Management Consultancy for Kanpur and Agra Metro Lines, two of the largest industrial cities in North India.
The infrastructural development plan is one of the main factors of growth and competitiveness on which the Asian country is aiming and Italferr is among the major international players ready to contribute significantly to the increase of the Indian transport system through a now solid and lasting partnership.
