Toshiba and Bechtel to Collaborate on the Delivery of Equipment for Poland's First Nuclear Power Plant
Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation today announced that it and its U.S. affiliate, Toshiba America Energy Systems Company, have reached an agreement with Bechtel Power Corporation, an American engineering and construction company, to collaborate on the delivery of equipment for Poland's first nuclear power plant.

Bechtel is working with Westinghouse Electric Company (“Westinghouse”), an American nuclear engineering company, to develop multiple Westinghouse AP1000 pressurized water reactors in Poland. Bechtel has agreed with Toshiba ESS and TAES to collaborate on the supply of steam turbines and generators for the project. In the future, the three companies will conduct concrete studies on the supply of equipment.
Toshiba promotes efforts in a wide range of business domains, including construction / maintenance / support for the restart, decommissioning and dismantlement of nuclear power plants, fuel cycle, and future energy source development, such as next generation reactors and fast reactors. The company recently completed the supply of steam turbines and generators to the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates. Toshiba ESS will continue to supply main equipment for international nuclear power plants.
