Lab Innovations launches Lab Connect
Connect with Lab Innovations attendees in advance via online portal.
Lab Innovations has relaunched Lab Connect, an online networking portal to help exhibitors and visitors have a productive and efficient time at the show after so long apart during the coronavirus pandemic. The platform proved to be a success at 2019’s show, with exhibitors confirming 441 meetings using Lab Connect at an average order value of £101,000 per meeting, and it is set to play a crucial role again this year as we return to face-to-face meetings.
When exhibitors register for Lab Innovations, they will be given a login to the free online platform which they can use to make valuable connections and maximise their networking time at the show. They can also increase their business’ visibility by using Lab Connect to share information about what they can offer, so that other exhibitors can find them in their own searches on the platform.
Exhibitors can use the user-friendly platform to specify their preferred target audience, as well as their goals during the show. Using this data, the intelligent system will show a list of matches, allowing exhibitors to contact them to arrange meetings during the show. These meetings can either take place in the dedicated Lab Connect lounge, or at an exhibitor’s stand. Exhibitors can also use the platform as a calendar, blocking out periods when they’d like to attend specific conferences and therefore won’t be available for meetings.
“Lab Connect always enhances our experience as an exhibitor at Lab Innovations before we have even set foot on the show floor,” explained Joshua Chapman, marketing director at Scientific Laboratory Supplies. “Having the ability to reach out to potential clients before the event gives us extra confidence that the show will be a success for us.”
“We know from our conversations with industry that businesses are eager to meet up in person and do business after 18 months apart,” added Aleiya Lonsdale, head of marketing at Easyfairs, the organiser of Lab Innovations. “Because networking opportunities have been limited since last March, some attendees might not have as many meetings planned as in previous years. Lab Connect can help overcome this by matchmaking suitable businesses at the show and facilitating some much-needed networking.”
Lab Innovations is co-located with Advanced Engineering UK at the NEC, Birmingham on November 3 and 4, 2021. The online portal operates across both shows, meaning that exhibitors at Lab Innovations can arrange meetings with Advanced Engineering’s 300+ exhibitors. In 2019, almost 100 cross-event meetings took place as a result of Lab Connect.
