Comau presented innovative solutions at the 5th Automotive Advanced Manufacturing Technology Summit

The 5th Automotive Advanced Manufacturing Technology Summit (referred to as "ATC") is one of the biggest and highest-level automotive technology summits in China.

This year, the ATC summit was divided into five sub-summits, altogether with more than 1,000 professionals in attendance. Comau's New Energy System Solution— From Body Assembly to Powertrain Assembly

Mr. Mauro Anselmetto, CEO of Comau China & Asia, delivered a speech about Comau E-Mobility solutions in the main summit, arguing that driven by technology, policy and customer needs, E-Mobility is undergoing a revolutionary change, while flexible manufacturing is the best solution for electric vehicle manufacturing. From body assembly to power systems, Comau can provide the flexible solution needed.

In the past several years, Comau China has successfully delivered system solutions, in the Electrical Vehicle field, for body assembly lines, battery module lines, battery pack lines, motor assembly lines and others. Comau also provides machining centers and a full range of industrial robots and automation products, including its collaborative robot AURA, welding guns, AGV Agile1500, laser source LHYTE, exoskeleton MATE and others.

No Anxiety Retooling—ComauFlex Assembly Solution

Mr. Ding Yudong, Comau China Head of Body Assembly, delivered a speech in the welding assembly sub-summit. In the speech, he pointed out that by utilizing the ComauFlex system, project management no longer needs to experience anxiety in retooling automobile welding assembly production lines.

Comau's flexible system solution includes the new generation extendable general assembly system—OpenGate 2.0, which can restructure vehicles. Comau can help customers to rebuild production lines to recover production efficiency and quality quickly and, therefore save time and money for customers.

Digitalization Transformation and Intelligent Factory

In the intelligent manufacturing factory sub-summit, Mr. Li Zhenshu, Engineering Manager for Powertrain Assembly Controlling and Digitalization, introduced Comau's brand-new SmartMES system and Smart Press, the solution for intelligent pressor based on IoT.

The SmartMES system is an intelligent manufacturing system for Comau production lines for engine, gearbox, new energy battery and so on that combines the latest digital technologies like mobile terminals, transparent factory and IoT with Comau experience. Comau's smart press machine solution based on IoT combines big data with the intelligent algorithm for machine learning, realizing more precise and intelligent pressing processes and preventative maintenance.

HUMANufacturing—the Application of Comau Digitalization in Assembly Shop

Mr. Jin Wei, Comau China Robotics and Automation Products Sales Director, delivered a speech in the general assembly sub-summit, stating that Comau, with more than 45 years of experience can provide the most advanced products and technologies for automobile assembly shops to revolutionize traditional production methods and improve production efficiency.

Throughout the last 2 decades, Comau China has completed more than 100 body assembly lines, approximately 100 powertrain assembly lines and more than 50 motor machining assembly lines successfully for the OEMs, greatly contributing to the automotive technical revolution and industry upgrade in China.
