DN Solutions x INTECH Machine Tool Giant Teams Up with India's Metal 3D Printing Innovator

DN Solutions, the largest machine tool manufacturer in Korea and one of the top 3 worldwide, announces its strategic investment in INTECH Additive Solutions india's largest provider of metal addictive machines and solutions.

This partnership combines DN Solutions' many years of expertise in metal-cutting manufacturing with INTECH's holistic 360° offering for metal additive manufacturing. Specifically, DNS is expanding its offering with the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) technology.

On March 27, DN Solutions announces that it has signed an equity investment and strategic partnership agreement with INTECH Additive Solutions, India's largest manufacturer of LPBF machines and solutions.

Metal additive manufacturing is a technology that constructs 3D objects by layering metal materials based on 3D modeling data. LPBF is considered the most advanced and widely applicable technology, accounting for approximately 80% of the metal additive manufacturing market. The process involves spreading a thin layer of metal powder onto a work surface and a laser then selectively melts and fuses the powder layer by layer. As the build platform moves downward, additional layers of metal powder are spread and fused, gradually forming the final object.

Industry forecasts predict that this machine market will grow from approximately KRW 1.78 trillion (EUR 1.18 billion) in 2022 to KRW 5.66 trillion (EUR 3.74 billion) by 2027, with an annual growth rate of 26%.

Previously, DN Solutions invested in ModuleWorks, a German developer of CAD/CAM software for machine tools, in 2023; CarbonBlack, an AI platform company based in Korea and the U.S., in 2024; and Neuromeka, a Korean robot automation company, on March 17, 2025. Each of these partnerships has led to close and ongoing collaboration. The recent investment in INTECH builds on this strategic investment roadmap.
