Da Ban Technology Changxing Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Da Ban Tech (Jiangyin), established its Changxing facility as a state-of-the-art, highly intelligent, and automated smart paint factory. Spanning 88.6 acres in Zhejiang Province and supported by a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the facility is designed to produce 100,000 tons of high-performance industrial and specialty coatings annually. Its first phase, operational since June 2023, boasts an annual capacity of 55,000 tons with an output value of 1.5 billion yuan.
A conerstone of the factory’s automation strategy is the integration of Inkmaker’s automatic dispensing system from Italy. This advanced technology has significantly enhanced Da Ban’s operational capabilities, bringing transformative benefits.
Key Benefits Delivered by Inkmaker’s Advanced Systems
Precision Redefined: The Inkmaker system has revolutionised the factory’s approach to colour management. Previously reliant on visual assessments, Da Ban can now quantify, count, and correct colour difference data, achieving accuracy levels between 0.6-0.8—and as fine as 0.3 for high-end applications. This precision has notably improved product quality and reduced customer complaint rates.
Enhanced Efficiency: The Inkmaker dispensing system supports configurations ranging from 0.5 to 500 litres without requiring front-end batching and production feeding. This flexibility has streamlined production workflows, enabling faster turnaround times and increased capacity to meet market demands.
Sustainability Gains: The system has contributed to a cleaner production environment by reducing VOC emissions and minimising the need for cylinder cleaning, aligning with Da Ban’s 5S Lean Thinking policies and global environmental standards.
The Changxing factory’s central control room leverages Inkmaker’s BATCH and DCS systems to remotely manage materials with unparalleled precision, ensuring error rates below 0.1%. These systems are integrated with Da Ban’s MES and ERP platforms, creating a fully connected, data-driven production ecosystem.
