Mitsubishi Electric to showcase latest machine tool solutions at JIMTOF 2024
Mitsubishi Electric will be exhibiting at the 32nd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2024), which takes place from November 5-10 2024, at Tokyo Big Sight.

The event, one of the largest global trade fairs for machine tools and related equipment, will see Mitsubishi Electric presenting under the theme, "Automating the World - Endless Evolution for Your Monozukuri."
This year’s exhibition presence will focus on how Mitsubishi Electric’s latest technologies can enhance productivity and innovation in manufacturing. Visitors will be able to explore the advancements the company has achieved over the last two years in collaboration with its customers.

1. CNC (Numerical Control Unit) zone
Mitsubishi Electric will demonstrate its new AI-powered tool, NC MachiningAID, designed to address common industry challenges such as the shortage of skilled labor and rising production costs. The tool automatically analyzes machining data, helping to prevent defects and optimize processes. Visitors can also see the latest features of the M800V/M80V series, along with various simulation and monitoring tools.
2. Digital manufacturing (DX) zone
This zone highlights the collaborative innovations between Mitsubishi Electric and its partners, presenting solutions that are designed to enhance both process efficiency and overall factory productivity. Attendees can experience hands-on demonstrations of cloud-based applications designed to streamline machining and improve production workflows.
3. Electrical discharge machining (EDM) zone
The MX600 ultra-high-precision oil wire-cut EDM will be showcased, offering increased productivity through improved usability and high-precision machining enabled by Mitsubishi Electric’s proprietary AI, Maisart. The SV12P EDM, designed for semiconductor manufacturing, will also be highlighted. It delivers premium surface finishes essential for high-tech encapsulation molds.
4. Metal 3D printing (AM) zone
Mitsubishi Electric’s AZ600 wire laser metal 3D printer will be on display, utilizing Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technology to achieve fast, precise layered construction. By using welding wire as a feedstock, the machine offers easier management compared to those using the metal powder method, which require explosion protection and additional protective health measures. This makes the AZ600 a user-friendly and sustainable alternative for 3D metal printing.
