There’s still time to secure your place – register here to attend!

Taking place between 26 – 28 June 2024, thousands of attendees will soon gather at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai to discover the mobile technologies that will shape businesses and societies in the years to come. MWC Shanghai will feature innovations in mobile connectivity from industry leaders hailing from China, Germany, India, Israel, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the US, including the likes of Amazon Web Services, AMD, Bharti Airtel, Lenovo, Singtel, Spark Telecoms, Xiaomi, XReal, and many more.

Some of the industry’s leading figures will also take to our keynote stage during the event, such SingTel’s Deputy CEO Anna Ip and ITU’s Deputy Secretary-General, Tomas Lamanauskas and more. With so much to see and do across the event’s three days, we’ve put together some useful tips to ensure you get the most out of your attendance.

Getting into the event
As the SNIEC is conveniently located a short walk away from Huamu Road Station, we encourage all attendees to make the most of Shanghai’s public transport network wherever possible. Find out more about transportation options by clicking here.

Importantly, attendees should be sure to download the MWC Series App which they can use to access their Digital Access Pass, as well as the event agenda and venue map – the app can be downloaded from the Apple or Android app stores or, for those who registered via WeChat, on the official GSMA WeChat account.

Experience the power of connection
Once inside the event, attendees will have five halls to explore including familiar favourite the Super Hall located in N3, where you’ll find China Mobile, China Telecom, ZTE and the GSMA Pavilion.

New for this year, the Connected Industries zone will make its debut at MWC Shanghai in Hall N4 with influential investors, decision makers and thought leaders creating a truly digital future, building on its success from MWC Barcelona. The Future Tech Hall will also be in Hall N4 and spread into N5, where frontier technology companies will showcase their latest innovations. Visitors to the space will see cutting-edge industrial applications of AI and see the latest advancements in this rapidly evolving technology from exhibitors, including electric vehicle pioneer NIO, who will show their vehicle-centric interconnection technology.

Hall N5 will also host the pavilion housing the Zhangjiang Science City where attendees can discover the innovative solutions coming out of Shanghai companies. While you are in Hall N5 step by 5G Innovation Zone at 5G IN. 5G IN is the GSMA Foundry project that brings together mobile operators and investors to explore the digital ecosystem for disruptors, pioneers and ground-breaking business models.

In Hall N2, you’ll find first-time exhibitor Xiaomi, as well as returning companies Lenovo and XReal. Xiaomi will showcase its new “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem, which seamlessly connects Xiaomi smartphones and tablets to smart TVs, wearables, home appliances and electric vehicles to bring the smart life to every home.

Lenovo’s booth will demonstrate its AI portfolio, including solutions embedded in consumer devices like PCs, smartphones and tablets, as well as those designed to bring the benefits of AI to enterprises, SMEs and governments. Meanwhile, XReal will have a number of demos for attendees to see, including its dual 50MP 3Dcamera and the XReal Beam Pro, the ultimate companion to XReal's AR glasses.

Hall N1 will host China Unicom, Huawei, SGS China, Rohde & Schwarz and leading chip manufacturers AMD and STMicroelectronics. Visitors to SGS China’s booth will see its intelligent automotive solutions and consumer electronics testing and certification capabilities, while Rohde & Schwarz will invite attendees to discover its portfolio of 5G, 5G-Advanced and 6G solutions. AMD will present its innovative telco platform for server ecosystem partners, radio ecosystem partners and RAN application vendors, while STMicroelectronics’ booth will feature over 30 demos of its industry-leading semiconductor solutions, with applications such as smart charging, edge AI, smart cameras and air quality monitoring.

Be sure to also stop by the Partner Programmes hosted in Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai starting on “Day 0” on 25 June through to the end of the event. Developed and presented by tech leaders, these programmes cover a range of informative topics including industry insights, product launches and demos, and workshops. This year, we will have sessions hosted by the likes of China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Huawei, GTI, Rujie Networks, World Broadband Association and ZTE.

Making sustainable choices at MWC Shanghai
For those attending MWC Shanghai, we've created guidance to help attendees, exhibitors and partners make sustainable choices to help reduce the environmental impact of our event.

Our GSMA Environmental Programme focuses on five key areas – energy, production and waste, food and waste food, logistics, and travel and accommodation. It encompasses small steps that everybody can take, such as the use of public transport to reach the venue or the MWC Series app to enter the event, to larger commitments like recycling, rather than contributing to Shanghai’s landfill.

MWC Shanghai is the largest carbon-neutral exhibition and conference in Asia, having been certified carbon neutral since 2015 and officially certified under the PAS 2060 standard by Aenor International last year. Find out more here.
