The site is connected to the transport infrastructure of Turkey's most populous city, reducing delivery times within the supply chain. "We can now be reached even quicker by car or public transport", emphasizes Evran Kayakiran. This move allows Kollmorgen to position itself in the metropolis of 14 million people as an attractive employer for qualified and talented employees.
"Impressive growth in Turkey has confirmed that we chose the correct market to invest in two years ago", according to Dennis Gallagher, Vice President EMEA & India. "Machine engineers in Turkey and neighboring Middle East countries are increasingly making use of high-performance servo technology and Kollmorgen’s Turkey facility is extremely well positioned to partner with these machine builders " Kollmorgen has been established as an independent foreign subsidiary in the Bosphorus since 2013. This was preceded by the purchase of Elsim AG, a recognized specialist in the field of automation, visualization, and motion control.
