EXHIBITION PREMIERE FOR OKUMA GERMANY
Okuma Deutschland GmbH, the German representative of the worldwide renowned CNC machine manufacturer Okuma Corporation Japan, is travelling with pioneering metalworking technologies to the AMB Stuttgart in South Germany from 13 to 17 September 2022.
Okuma kuma takes automation and robotics to the AMB stuttgart.
Okuma Deutschland GmbH is announcing some real highlights for their first appearance at an exhibition in direct sales for Germany: Apart from the LU3000EX, an innovative machine tool for simultaneous 4 axis turning, Okuma is also demonstrating the proven LB3000 lathe under the motto “Our solution – Your success” at stand 10C71, a lathe which offers maximum automation in association with the ARMROID jointed-arm robot.
“Three years after taking over the German dealer, we finally have the opportunity to welcome our customers and partners to an exhibition on behalf of Okuma Deutschland”, says Stefan Vielsaecker, Managing Director of Okuma Deutschland. “The whole team is very excited and is already giving their all to make sure the event is a success.”
Increases productivity with 4-axis turning
This also includes the selection of machines that will be presented live at AMB. Okuma will be presenting the technology leader on the market in the field of 4-axis simultaneous machining – the LU3000EX. Due to its heavy and robust construction, the generously dimensioned flatbed guides and high-torque drives, the machine is optimally suited for workpieces with a large L/D ratio, as well as for materials that are difficult to machine. Apart from that, the lathe shows its real advantage when using two turrets that work synchronously with double feed or simultaneously. As a result, cutting times can be reduced by up to 50 percent, times per piece and production costs can be significantly reduced, and huge productivity increases can be achieved. This means that the investment in the second turret usually pays for itself after about six months.
In addition, Okuma's own OSP control system ensures easy operation and makes dialogue programming of the LU3000EX simple. With innovative technologies such as “Thermo-Friendly Concept”, “ServoNavi” and “Machining Navi”, compensating for temperature fluctuations or vibrations during machining, the solution provider also ensures optimum results.
Automated operation even for small batch sizes
With the LB3000 ARMROID, Okuma Germany will be presenting a universal lathe with a fully integrated robot arm to its long-standing partners and the AMB trade public. This successful lathe is particularly well suited for the production of universal turning parts and complete machining of complex workpieces in small and medium batch sizes. Combining it with the fully integrated ARMROID jointed-arm robot enables automated operation, as the robot can load and unload the machine as well as perform other important additional tasks directly. User-friendly robot control with Okuma's proven OSP control system automatically calculates the fastest collision-free path for the ARMROID. This ensures maximum efficiency and optimal machine capacity utilisation.
Celebrate partnership at the AMB Stuttgart
With these and numerous other highlights, Okuma Germany will surprise its stand visitors at its first exhibition appearance and is looking forward to welcoming many guests who would like to experience a live presentation of the solution provider’s machines and services.
