LOW TEMPERATURE HEAVY DUTY 865 DUO ENCODER
Leine Linde heavy duty encoders have a broad operating temperature span, already in their standard design. The encoders in the 800 series are available in variants for temperatures down to -40ºC and up to +100ºC.
For one of our users, this was not enough, as the solution they were building had to work flawlessly in temperatures down to -50ºC. Our solution was a customized version of an 865 duo encoder, with ceramic bearings and a low-viscosity lubricant, better suited for a colder climate. It is now used in a motor industry application, but would also be suitable for other low-temperature applications within the steel or mining industries, the oil and gas industry - or for crane, marine or offshore applications.
