The Latest Innovations to be Showcased at TANK STORAGE ASIA 2019
An unparalleled line-up of exhibitors within the Asian bulk liquid storage industry will join together under one roof when Tank Storage Asia [1] returns to Singapore's Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre on the 25th and 26th September 2019.
Companies from all over the world will gather to showcase the latest innovations and developments that will revolutionise business in the industry.Emerson will showcase its RosemountTM TankMasterTM Proof-Test Manager at Tank Storage Asia. The product allows operators to proof-test overfill prevention systems safely and remotely from a control room. Emerson will also use the show to launch a radar technology developed for use in cryogenic containment tanks. This provides a robust and virtually maintenance free level solution, offering highly accurate and reliable measurements at long range.
It can overcome difficulties associated with cryogenic storage, such as vapour spaces, low dielectric constants, and thermal effects. In addition to providing very accurate level and temperature measurements, Emerson's RosemountTM Tank Gauging LNG System for full containment tanks offers support for measurement redundancy, as well as cool-down and leak detection sensors.
Helena Hjortsberg, Solutions Manager at Emerson, comments: "Given Tank Storage Asia's positioning in Singapore, the world's second largest storage hub, we couldn't turn down the opportunity to exhibit in September and get in front of new and existing customers."
Cortec(R) Corporation will launch its new solution to mitigate soil-side corrosion in Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs). The Cortec(R) CorroLogic(R) Dispensing System uses Vapour phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI(R)) technology to protect under-tank areas.
This innovative system is designed to address the fact that existing means of preventing soil-side corrosion in ASTs, such as Cathodic Protection (CP) systems, aren't working well enough. The problem is that they only protect metal surfaces in tanks when the material is in direct contact with a corrosion inhibitor. They do little to protect the air gaps that remain under tank floors, resulting in tanks being left vulnerable to perforations from moisture and corrosive species.
Boxy Blind Valve Co. Ltd., manufacturers of isolation valves, has chosen to exhibit at the event because of its respected industry status. Kevin Kim, Sales Manager, comments: "We have decided to attend Tank Storage Asia as it is the most specialised exhibition for the oil terminal industry".
The company will launch its new Boxy Line Blinds at the event, which provide perfect isolation of piping lines through positive shut-off for safety purposes. The new blinds also prevent spills that would otherwise cause environmental pollution. The product can be used by a single operator without the need for tools, such as bolts, nuts, gaskets and cranes, while its position can be quickly and safely changed by a handwheel.
KRAL AG is also exhibiting at the event. The machinery firm has applied its expertise in pump design and technology to launch new Z Series Screw Pumps.
These are capable of delivering many different substances with various qualities and viscosities, even those with strongly varying backpressure and suction behaviour. The Screw Pumps are efficient and flexible, with a wide range of applications in tank farms.
Ryoto Sakamoto, Sales Representative of Overseas Markets at Tokyo Boeki Machinery Ltd.,comments: "Tank Storage Asia will gather leading figures within the tank terminal industry under one roof, presenting a plethor of great business opportunities". At the event, the organisation will showcase the economical roof drainage system for floating roof tanks that it has developed, which uses just four swivel joints.
Furthermore, APMS Storage Tank Services will exhibit a fully encapsulated chemical suit used for internal tank, pressure vessel and ducting inspections, as well as for maintenance and repairs in high risk petrochemical industries. Dave Osman, the General Manager, says: "Tank Storage Asia provides the perfect platform to showcase end to end specialist tank services and engage with senior level decision makers in the tank industry".
Bernat Sala, CEO at Tecam Group, also recognises the benefits of attending. He comments: "It's a well-attended meeting point for suppliers around the bulk liquid storage sector in Asia". Tecam Group will display its environmental technology for vent gas treatment systems for tank terminals.
Mark Rimmer, Tank Storage Portfolio Divisional Director, concludes: "Tank Storage Asia's exhibition space will host leading companies from across the bulk liquid storage industry, many of which will be showcasing newly launched products and services. In addition, the latest technology from within the industry will be on show at the Innovation Zone, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet with highly innovative companies and get amongst the latest trends."
