Campaign in the category "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation | Brand Communication - Campaign." "The German Oscar for successful brand management underscores the importance of breaking new ground in marketing for mechanical engineering," said CEO Henrik A. Schunk during the award ceremony.

By engaging world-class goalkeeper Jens Lehmann as a brand ambassador in 2012, the globally successful family-owned business had already succeeded in adding a unique emotional dimension to the SCHUNK brand over the years. The campaign extends equally to all relevant brand touchpoints, from trade fair booths to print and digital media to out-of-home advertising. Worldwide, the message has now reached almost three quarters of a million people.

The German Design Council was founded in 1953 by the German parliament to strengthen the design expertise of German industry. Together with the German Brand Institute, it presents the German Brand Award once a year. The award recognizes innovative brands, consistent brand management and effective brand communications. Winners are selected by an independent jury of brand experts from different disciplines.
