First HxGN LOCAL MANUFACTURING ASIA Attracts Hundreds of Participants in Bangkok

More Than 500 Users of Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence Technologies Join the Largest HxGN LOCAL Event Ever Held in Asia-Pacific.

The action-packed and education-filled HxGN LOCAL MANUFACTURING ASIA 2019 was held in Bangkok over two days on 20 and 21 March 2019. High-level keynotes and 25 breakout sessions were hosted alongside dozens of technology demonstrations and exclusive evening concerts. The event represents the largest user conference for Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division in the region to date.

During the opening keynote address Stephen Graham, Vice President of Marketing for Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division, presented Hexagon’s vision of creating Smart Factories to unlock the true potential of data. He also elaborated on the role of the Xalt framework in achieving this vision.

Mr Graham explained that digital transformation is no longer optional for manufacturers, before revealing Hexagon’s three imperatives for pursuing a Smart Factory strategy: Digital First and Data Driven; Infinitely Connected; and Innately Intelligent.

“It’s fantastic to be able to host an event like this, that brings together so many leaders from the world of intelligent manufacturing in Asia,” said Taveesak Srisuntisuk, Managing Director of Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division for South-East Asia.

“The programme offered lots in terms of conceptual insights and opportunities for discussion with industry professionals, as well as some excellent practical demonstrations of the direction in which Smart Manufacturing is heading. I can’t wait to attend next years event, which will be only bigger and better following the success of this year’s event.”

The various sessions, training workshops and demonstrations supported this concept. Hexagon was glad to welcome hundreds of attendees from all over Asia to this successful conference, all who became active participants in shaping smart change through their involvement.

Hexagon’s teams have already begun the process of preparing for next year’s HxGN LOCAL Manufacturing ASIA 2020, planning more great stories and developing new and better solutions to the challenges faced in the world of industrial production and quality control – many inspired by insights gained directly from users.
