Secure edge AIoT platforms for industrial cybersecurity resilience

ASRock Industrial has developed a comprehensive secure edge AI platform to facilitate readiness for the EU Cybersecurity Resilience Act (CRA). This system integrates industrial robust edge AIoT platforms, embedded systems, and industrial motherboards with dedicated security and automation software. These solutions are designed for compute-intensive applications in sectors such as manufacturing, oil and gas, and robotics.

Standardized security for industrial lifecycles
The development processes for these platforms are built on IEC 62443-4-1 and 4-2 certified standards to ensure security throughout the product lifecycle. Deployment is managed via FDO-based onboarding, while ongoing operations are supported by AiSafeguard and AiSMA. These measures address the technical challenge of securing connected operational technology (OT) environments through real-time threat identification and honeypot sandbox isolation.

High-performance edge AI and workstation-class compute
The hardware lineup includes the iEPF-11000S Series, which utilizes Intel Xeon 600 processors and supports up to four Intel Arc Pro B60 GPUs for high-end AI workloads. For space-constrained deployments, the NUC(S) Ultra 300 BOX Series uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors to provide energy-efficient on-device inference. Additionally, the AI BOX-A395 features AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 processors to deliver workstation-class AI compute density in a compact system, suitable for edge inference development without a traditional workstation footprint.

AI-driven automation and real-time protection
Two primary software solutions enhance the operational utility of the hardware:
  • AiSafeguard: This industrial cybersecurity software provides real-time device threat identification and trusted access control based on zero-trust principles to protect critical assets in industrial automation.
  • AiUAC Copilot: This tool uses AI to generate IEC 61499-based automation applications, facilitating motion and machine control while reducing engineering development time.
These technical solutions were showcased at Embedded World 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, from March 10 to March 12, 2026.
