NOJA Power has launched its Remote HMI mobile application, now available free of charge on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, expanding mobile access to control and monitoring functions for its RC Series smart grid controllers.
The Remote HMI app provides authenticated users with secure, wireless access to the Human–Machine Interface (HMI) of NOJA Power RC Series controls, enabling real-time interrogation and operation of switchgear assets from smartphones or tablets. By creating a digital “air gap” between personnel and live equipment, the solution significantly enhances operational safety in the field.
Mobile HMI for Safer, More Flexible Operations
Designed for utility field crews, engineers, and authorised operators, the app allows users to monitor system status, access critical network information, and interact with control devices without requiring physical proximity to switchgear. This is particularly beneficial during adverse weather conditions or in high-risk operational environments.
The Remote HMI app features an intuitive user interface combined with robust security mechanisms to ensure controlled access to network assets. By enabling wireless operation, the solution improves response times, increases situational awareness, and supports more flexible working practices for both field-based and remote teams.
Compatibility and Deployment
The app is compatible with all wireless-enabled NOJA Power RC Series controls. For installations where local wireless connectivity is not already present, optional hardware accessories are available to enable secure wireless communications on additional RC units, extending the app’s applicability across existing networks.

Supporting Digital Grid Transformation
By offering the Remote HMI app at no cost across both Android and iOS platforms, NOJA Power lowers adoption barriers for utilities and industrial operators seeking to modernise grid operations.
According to Neil O’Sullivan, Group Managing Director at NOJA Power, the release is focused on improving operational access while maintaining safety and efficiency: providing faster access to network data, greater operational flexibility, and tools that support safer, more responsive grid management.
Key Benefits at a Glance
