Compact AI PCs deliver high-density edge performance

ASRock Industrial has launched the NUC(S) Ultra 300 BOX Series, a compact computing platform designed for AI-enhanced applications requiring high compute density, advanced graphics, and integrated AI acceleration. The systems are built on Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 3) and target use cases spanning commercial deployments, development environments, digital content creation, and advanced prosumer systems.

Processor architecture and AI acceleration
The NUC(S) Ultra 300 BOX Series integrates Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors combining CPU, GPU, and NPU on a single platform. The architecture supports up to 16 CPU cores alongside Intel Xe3 integrated graphics and NPU 5.0. Together, these elements provide up to 180 TOPS of aggregate AI inference capability, enabling on-device acceleration for vision processing, media workloads, and AI-assisted applications without reliance on discrete accelerators.

This heterogeneous compute design allows workloads to be distributed across CPU, GPU, and NPU resources based on latency, power, and performance requirements.

Memory, storage, and display capabilities
The platform supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory operating at up to 7200 MHz via dual SO-DIMM slots, addressing bandwidth-intensive workloads. Storage expansion is enabled through dual M.2 Key M slots, supporting PCIe Gen5 x4 and Gen4 x4 SSDs. Intel Volume Management Device (VMD) RAID 0/1 functionality is included to balance performance and data resilience.

For visual workloads, the systems can drive up to four 8K displays simultaneously. Display output is supported via HDMI 2.1 TMDS and DisplayPort connections delivered through USB4 and USB-C interfaces, enabling high-resolution multi-display configurations for control rooms, content creation, and immersive visualization.

Connectivity and platform features
Connectivity options include USB4/Thunderbolt 4, multiple USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, and up to dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, depending on the model. Wireless connectivity is provided through Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, supporting low-latency and high-throughput communication in modern network environments.

Platform security is supported through Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT), which provides firmware-based TPM functionality for secure boot, device authentication, and encrypted operations without requiring an external TPM module.

Form factors and deployment scope
The series is available in two form factors: the NUC Ultra 300 BOX (117.5 × 110.0 × 49 mm) and the slimmer NUCS Ultra 300 BOX (117.5 × 110.0 × 38 mm). These compact dimensions enable deployment in space-constrained environments while maintaining support for high-performance components and extensive I/O.

The combination of integrated AI acceleration, high-speed memory and storage, and multi-display support positions the NUC(S) Ultra 300 BOX Series for edge AI, visualization, and compact workstation use cases where performance, footprint, and system integration are critical.
