The protection system of the Digital Control-Command Protection project (DCCP from the Relyance range) developed by the Energy division of ACTIA Telecom, the group’s Telecom division, is integrated into the largest ENEDIS training centre: the La Pérollière campus (Rhône). This is an opportunity for the 20,000 trainees expected on the campus by 2024 to learn about HTB/HTA source substation jobs using ACTIA equipment.
Generic electronic equipment for on-board space applications in low earth orbit. ACTIA will be receiving an €800,000 support fund for its proposed diversification into the space sector with its project: ACTIA In Space.
It is in this context and to address the new challenges of its ecosystem that ACTIA is pursuing the transformation programme for its showcase industrial site: ACTIA Colomiers. This site already has a high level of industrial excellence combined with a very high level of certification and is part of a Factory of the Future approach which aims to continue the transformation plan initiated in 2015 by modernising, digitalising, automating, and securing this industrial tool.
ACTIA is among the top 5 EMS providers in France in turnover generated by electronics production*. In 2020, its showcase factory in Colomiers, near Toulouse, generated a turnover of 283 million euros, which is 10% of the French EMS market. The site has a high level of industrial excellence and is continuing its reconfiguration which began in recent years through a Factory 5.0 programme with a deadline set for 2025. This ambitious, innovation-driven project involves a 360-degree transformation of the factory in five key areas: industrial, energy, environmental, security and social. In this article, ACTIA reveals the details of its Factory 5.0 road map.
Producing communicating objects in ultra-connected factories sounds like a no-win situation for ACTIA in the light of increasing cybersecurity threats worldwide. Yet it is this industrial cybersecurity challenge that the Group’s factories rise to on a daily basis as part of a ongoing policy based on quality, security, innovation and industrial excellence.
“The challenge of connected factory is creating this hyper connectivity and handling the data that comes with it, by connecting all the links of the production chain, as well as the customers and all stakeholders who will encounter the product. From the RFQ phases up to the product’s life-cycle in its application with the final customer, connectivity has now been a reality for some years.” Éric Le Bozec, ACTIA Group Industrial Director, describes the performance drivers for ACTIA’s factory 4.0.
Multi-Diag, ACTIA’s multi-make diagnostic and repair tool, provides a quick, guided procedure for unlocking the secure access system (Security Gateway) of recent FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) vehicles.
As part of its work in research and innovation, ACTIA is taking part in the MOT Challenge, the global benchmark competition for tracking objects in a video scene. So far, ACTIA has been performing well, ranking 8th in the world in metric accuracy analysis, known as MOTA, and 2nd in terms of tracking speed.
The City of London is a pioneer in the ecological and safety aspects of public transport. Transport for London (TFL), the organisation responsible for London’s transport system, with ACTIA, is deploying new types of buses equipped with the Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) system. This solution makes it possible to adjust a vehicle’s real speed according to the speed limit in force in the area where the vehicle is travelling.
