ROYCE-ROLLS AND NETINERA SIGN LONG-TERM SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR THE OVERHAUL OF MTU ENGINES AND POWERPACKS

Rolls-Royce and Netinera have signed a contract for the complete overhaul of up to 180 mtu PowerPacks. The contract runs until 2032 and provides for the complete overhaul of PowerPacks based on mtu Series 183 engines using the so-called Reman process. Netinera uses these PowerPacks in regional trains of the type Siemens Desiro (VT 642).

Rolls-Royce is continuing its growth course in China: Rolls-Royce business unit Power Systems has signed contracts and agreements with Chinese partners and customers from the four industrial sectors power generation, construction and industrial (C&I), mining and rail at the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) which is being held in Shanghai from 5 – 10 November 2021. The agreements cover the delivery of several hundred mtu engines and power generation systems.

MTU SERIES 500 GAS GENERATOR TO PROVIDE COMBINED HEAT AND POWER FOR LUBRICANT MANUFACTURER IN MEXICO

Raloy Lubricantes, one of the top four lubricant manufacturers and main supplier for automotive OEMs in Mexico, has selected the new mtu Series 500 generator set from the Power Systems business unit of Rolls-Royce to provide combined heat and power for its manufacturing operations in Santiago Tianguistenco, Mexico. The electricity will be used to power operations, while the heat from exhaust will be used to warm up thermal oil for mixing processes. Thermal energy from jacket heat will be recaptured and run through an absorption chiller to produce chilled water for cooling plastic bottles manufactured in Raloy’s sister company, Thermfluidos.

ROLLS-ROYCE PRESENTS MTU HYBRID HAUL TRUCK CONCEPT AND VISION FOR NET ZERO EMISSIONS MINING AT MINEXPO 2021

Rolls-Royce business unit Power Systems will present its vision and mtu concepts for net zero-carbon mining operations at MINExpo 2021 (booth 7871 South Hall). The showcase includes both existing products and future technologies currently under development. In focus, is a groundbreaking new mtu concept for a hybrid haul truck which could help cut CO2 emissions by as much as 30%. It is based on existing mtu products and technologies that will be on display for the first time in this combination: a state-of-the-art 12V 2000 mining engine, together with an mtu EnergyPack battery system.
