Dürr is building a new, turnkey paint shop for Chinese car manufacturer Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. for the flexible production of various models and drive systems. The focus is on intelligent networking and tracking all process sequences using a wealth of software solutions from the DXQ product family. Commissioning of the system is planned for 2023 at Chery’s company headquarters in Wuhu.

Upstream sealing stations in the car manufacturing painting process are already highly automated. However, sealing is still performed manually for hard-to-reach car body parts. Dürr recently developed a solution to further increase the level of automation and significantly reduce the need for manual intervention.

Four days, different time zones and languages. At its 12th open house, Dürr presented new products to increase efficiency and profitability in manufacturing and reduce resources for large volume manufacturers and small electric car startups alike.

In the eastern Chinese province of Shandong, Dürr is currently building two paint shops for Sinotruk, the leading manufacturer of heavy trucks for the world’s largest commercial vehicle market, China. The paint shops equipped with state-of-the-art technology will be used to coat truck cabs and pick-ups of Sinotruk’s premium brands, with the focus squarely on high quality, responsible use of resources and cost efficiency.

Technology leaders Dürr and Uniper will jointly offer integrated solutions for waste heat recovery with ORC systems. The cooperation, which was agreed in September 2021, creates synergies for both companies.
