YBES light curtains include a Bluetooth-LE interface for remote, wireless configuration and real-time communication of status or diagnostic data to a smartphone or tablet. In addition to extended functionality (EDM, restart interlock, beam coding, etc.) and ease of use, operators benefit from reduced installation costs as safety relays are no longer required. YBES light curtains meet the highest Type 4 safety requirements of Category 4, PL e and Safety Integrity Level SIL 3. They offer blind-zone free mounting and an integrated alignment system. The new safety systems will be available for use from 2020.

Tags are insensitive to dirt and their housings have an IP68 & IP69K enclosure rating. HF tags (13.56 MHZ) are fully ISO/IEC 15693-compliant.

With self-contained fiber-optic sensors available in housings as small as 30 x 30 x 15 mm, and several models of small DIN-rail mounted amplifiers that accommodate multiple-sensor applications, the Contrinex range is highly versatile. A choice of synthetic optical fibers with impressively low attenuation rates for general use or glass optical fibers for high ambient temperatures and aggressive environments provides options for even the most demanding applications.
