Emerson announces a major update to the ASCO Numatics G3 Series electronic valve island platform, enabling a reduction in installation costs. The valve island has been expanded so that it can control up to 128 solenoid valves on a single valve island assembly. This allows more valves to be controlled from a single node, enabling savings in the number of nodes and the cabling, internal tubing and electrical connections in the cabinet. Customers will benefit when they control a high density of valves or pneumatic equipment in a packaging plant or on a skid.
New ASCO modular valve block system for fluid handling in dental treatment units showcases Emerson’s expertise at developing Microfluidic Solutions that add value to the manufacturers of analytical and medical machinery
At the DIAM trade fair for industrial valves, seals and drive technology in Bochum (8 - 9 November 2017) Emerson is featuring its powerful ASCO solenoid valve solutions for controlling valve actuators. Customers and prospective buyers can also get a close look at these highly reliable, robust, complete systems and discuss their requirements with the manufacturer (stand FF70)
Fortunately for us, the consumers, the regulations of the food sector are becoming increasingly stringent. This certainly represents a guarantee for the consumers, but also an important challenge for the manufacturers operating in this segment.
Emerson, will be launching a new ASCO pulse valve at Powtech 2017 in Nuremberg, Germany, in September. The new valve is just one product in a broad portfolio of ATEX certified components designed specifically for the reverse pulse cleaning of dust collector systems. The range includes pulse valves, header tanks, sequencers, solenoid valve housings and air preparation equipment.
Emerson have expanded the ASCO Numatics 580 Series fieldbus electronics platform with the introduction of an IO-Link® communication option. For use with the ASCO Numatics 500 Series valve islands, the new IO-Link module will allow machine automation designers a convenient, cost effective and reliable solution for solenoid valve control through direct digital data communication with the machine controller plus the ability for event-based and I/O mapped diagnostics – both important predictive maintenance requirements for Industry 4.0.
