At the Hannover Messe Digital Edition, solutions provider Eplan will be presenting a first look at the coming Eplan Platform, being launched in summer. A completely new user interface with ribbon technology and dark mode is in tune with current software trends and further ensures ease of use. The new 2D graphic module and central device management provide optimum performance. And yet another practical plus: the cloud service Eplan eManage ensures integrated engineering with the combination of on-premise and cloud. The changeover to the new subscription model will make the use of the software even more flexible.
The new partner network that EPLAN founded towards the end of 2020 pools the worldwide expertise of its cooperation partners to increase the benefits for customers. The EPLAN Partner Network (EPN) defines common binding goals for boosting integration along the value chain. Users profit from this increase in continuity and integration, particularly in the areas of PLM, ERP and PLC as well as simulations. The in-depth interchange amongst the manufacturers makes it easier for customers to integrate the large number of systems used on the market.
The industrial transformation is in full swing. As a result, the market conditions are changing. Eplan is consistently adapting to these changes: As of August 2021, new software licences will be offered exclusively on a subscription basis. Companies will especially benefit from more flexibility.
Last year Eplan, the solutions provider, welcomed around 1,400 attendees from 73 countries to its international Virtual Fair. Impressive figures – and that in times before such virtual formats had become the standard almost everywhere. This year the interest in new, innovative Leadership Talks, practice-oriented webcasts and worldwide chats for talking shop with other users is likely to increase again.
Working at home is something many people are doing right now. That is why Eplan is now offering a number of online services, including webcasts that provide users with specific practical support. The possibility for remote consulting and meeting with consultants via video conference is another new service that Eplan is offering companies – augmented by helpful online training courses from the Eplan Training Academy.
By implementing a new data standard, software solutions provider EPLAN contributes to further simplifying control and switchgear construction. The new standard increases the quality of article and device data in EPLAN Data Portal, a web service offering product catalogues from numerous component manufacturers. Several thousand data sets – for instance from Rittal, leading provider of enclosure systems and IT infrastructure – are already available at this premium level, and additional well-known component manufacturers are working on providing data in line with this new standard.
Digitisation will be Eplan’s focus topic during the next “trade fair on the internet” – the Eplan Virtual Fair will be taking place on 21 May and covering all the world’s important time zones with sixteen hours of live operations. Presentations, live demonstrations and management discussions will all be part of the day’s multifaceted programme. It’s goal: The direct exchange of expertisein more than seventy countries around the world.
